Year 9 at YECC is equivalent to the Pre-IGCSE class. The Year 9 class is designed to help students make informed subject choices for the upcoming IGCSE program and to allow them to explore the nature of various subjects.
Students will study Major 3 subjects, which include English, Mathematics B (MB), and Information and Communication Technology (ICT), as well as Minor 7 subjects, which include Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Business, Economics, Accounting, and Further Pure Mathematics (FPM).
The program runs for 11 months, from May to March of the following year. Regarding school fees, if paid monthly, the fee for each Major subject is 100,000 MMK, and for each Minor subject, it is 50,000 MMK. If paid every 4 months, the fee for each Major subject is 90,000 MMK, and for each Minor subject, it is 45,000 MMK.
