In IGCSE, students are required to study four compulsory subjects: English (ESL or ELB), Further Pure Mathematics (FPM), Mathematics B (MB), and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Additionally, they must choose at least three subjects from the following eight mandatory options: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Human Biology, Economics, Accounting, Business, and Computer Science (CS). The reason for requiring students to take multiple subjects is to make it easier for them to apply to international schools after completing IGCSE and to increase their chances of obtaining scholarships.
The study period spans from May of one year to May of the following year, totaling 12 months, which is designated as Year 10. The remaining year is designated as Year 11. Regarding school fees, if paid monthly, each subject costs 120,000 MMK. If paid quarterly (every four months), the fee for each subject is 110,000 MMK.
